Community Access Support Services Inc. is a dedicated organization based in Lakeland, FL that focuses on enhancing the well-being and empowerment of individuals in the community. As a leading provider of various supports including community engagement activities, social services, homeless support, educational consulting, nonprofit initiatives, financial consulting, employment assistance, mentoring, and family supports, our team collaborates with local organizations and schools to analyze needs for research-based and culturally responsive approaches to creating harmonious supportive environments through cultural where every individual can thrive and reach their full potential. Meet the Co-Founders
Giving back in communities through philanthropic opportunities
Our experiences include serving urban environments, educating from PK-12 plus college-level, underserved communities, at-risk children, adult populations, foster care trauma, youth aging out of foster care, individuals with disabilities, and individuals identified as special needs.
- Dr. M. Glynnes Smith, EdD, MBA is a retired administrator of education focusing on special education, autism emphasis, online instruction, leadership, training, and finance with an extensive business background. Dr. Smith is recognized for her work as a philanthropist in serving her community.
- Mr. William R. Smith II, a veteran of the USAF who served in the Vietnam Era and traveled internationally serving his country. Mr. Smith is a retired athletic coach and public school district employee who is enthusiastic and passionate about helping others, and dedicated in preserving family legacies. He is a driven individual valuing dignity and respect for our veterans and civilian communities.
TOGETHER, as a team
Dr. Smith and Mr. Smith support each other's roles as Community Engagement and Community Outreach Officers of the organization, while serving the board as executive trustees.
